The residents of Clayton Creek face an uncertain future as their gold mine nears depletion and their founder, Lee Clayton, remains missing after a trip to bring back his son, Daniel. When Daniel is found unconscious miles from town with little more than his father’s mining claim, he is welcomed with open arms. But Daniel seems ill-equipped for the role that Lee had promised his son was born to fill — the only preacher in the small mining town.
